- I am an artist/aspiring Illustrator with a love of children's books. I graduated from Norwich School of Art and Design in 2001, and have been working, looking after my large family, selling work and gradually building on my port folio, specifically in children's book illustration since then. I have recently started writing, and I'm currently working on three stories for children. I am a member of the SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) Which has been very useful and a great way to tap into like-minded people. Inspiration comes from illustrators such as Lisbeth Zwerger, Georg Hallensleben, Sara Fanelli, Marc Boutevant, Alexis Deacon, Shaun Tan,Oyvind Torseter for their quirky approach to kids book illustration and inspirational composition; and also Laura Knight, Vincent Van Gogh, Gwen John, Picasso and many, many more.
